Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022 on February 2, 2022 on its official website @ upsc.gov.in. As per the UPSC annual exam calendar, the registrations process has been started today(February 2, 2022) and will remain open till February 22, 2022.

As per the UPSC CSE 2022 Notification, The preliminary exam for Civil Services and Indian Forest Service will be commenced on June 5, 2022.

The candidates who are preparing for Civil Services and Indian Forest Service (IFS) preliminary examinations can do the registrations at the official website.

The candidates registering for the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022 are advised to check their eligibility conditions before submitting their UPSC Application Form 2022.

The commission will entertain only those applications which fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria and then verify the original documents after a candidate has cleared the Interview/Personality Test.

In order to get selected for UPSC Civil Services, a candidate needs to clear all three stages of the recruitment process which are as follows preliminary exam, mains exam, and Interview/Personality Test.

The UPSE Preliminary Exam will be scheduled to be held on June 5, 2022, and the qualified candidates will have to appear in UPSE Mains Exam that will be held on December 16, 2022.

Eligibility Conditions for UPSC IAS Exam 2022

Before proceeding towards online application for UPSC 2022 exam, the candidates should ensure whether they are meeting the eligibility criteria or not. UPSC will produce the e-admit cards for those who fulfil all the prescribed eligibility conditions. In short, if you breach any of the UPSC civil services eligibility conditions then your application will be rejected so, understand the following points properly.

  1. The candidate must be a citizen of India if he/she is applying for Indian Administrative Service, the Indian Foreign Service, and the Indian Police Service.
  2. If a candidate is applying for apart from the above-shared three services, he/she must be a citizen of either India, Nepal, Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa.
  3. As of the 1st of August, 2022, the candidate’s age must be between 21 to 32 years. (There will be age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC so, refer to the UPSC notification for more information on this)
  4. A candidate must hold a Graduate degree from a recognized university or institute. A candidate pursuing the final year and waiting for the results can also apply for UPSC Preliminary Exam but he/she has to produce proof of passing for appearing in the UPSC Mains Exam.
  5. The commission permits six (6) attempts for qualifying for the UPSC civil services exam. However, there will be a relaxation in the number of attempts for the candidates who fall under the SC/ST/OBC and PwBD category which is as follows:

Unlimited 09 09 for GL/EWS/OBC/ Unlimited for SC/ST

  1. A candidate should be physically and mentally fit as per the predetermined standards of UPSC.

Registration Process – UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022

In order to fill out the UPSC online application form for Civil Services and Forest Services exam, you can follow the below shared stepwise process.

Step 1- The online applications will be submitted on the official website so you have to visit that site www.upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2- Click on the “ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC” link.
Step 3- You will be redirected to a new webpage where you need to select the examination for which you want to apply.
Step 4- Click on the “Registration” link.
Step 5- An online application form will be displayed on your computer’s screen that you need to fill out properly.
Step 6- After filling out the UPSC online application form, click on “Continue”.
Step 7 – Upload the required documents and click on “Submit”.
Step 8 – After that, you have to make the fee payment. As soon as you initiate the payment, Your registration process will be completed.
Step 9- Take a printout of the final receipt for future uses.
