Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) published a notification in 2019 through the advertisement number CEN 01/2019.

Under this notification, the department announced the job opening for 1,03,769 positions of Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant, and Assistant Pointsman. RRB divided the selection process into 3 phases to select the skilled candidates. These 3 phases of selection are listed below.

As per the RRB records, a total of 1,15,67,248 candidates had done the registrations for examination. Initially, RRB computer-based test was supposed to be held in the 2nd quarter of 2021 (April- June) which was cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The railway recruitment board has announced the new tentative dates for Group D CBT Exam. The CBT exam will be conducted in phases which may start in the last week of February 2022.

Railway Recruitment Board Computer Based Exam Pattern – Group D

RRB computer-based test (CBT) – As the name suggests, it is an online test where candidates have to answer 100 questions. These are multiple-choice questions for which candidates get 90 minutes only. PWD (Persons with Disabilities) will get 30 minutes Extra.
