Eight Most Anticipated Series of 2023-2024

Date:

Series we’ll be watching soon include The Last of Us film adaptation, lots of Star Wars and Marvel superheroes, as well as the return of Succession, The Weeknd’s show, and The Last of Us adaptation. We just can’t wait!

The Last of Us

Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin took on the adaptation of the video game The Last of Us, recognized in 2013 as one of the best games of its generation. The project is supervised by HBO. The latter have invested a lot of effort, money and hopes in the film adaptation. It also hired eminent European directors to stage several episodes. Among them the Russian Kantemir Balagov had to join the set, but the director of “Dyldy” dropped out of the project at the last moment. The plot tells about the travels of hardened smuggler Joel (Pedro Pascal) and teenage girl Ellie (Bella Ramsey) through the post-apocalyptic America of the future, where a deadly virus has raged. But only Ellie is immune to it. The first season met with strong success and we can’t wait to watch the second season in 2024.

The Mandalorian/ Third Season

Prior to “Andor”, fans’ faith in the Star Wars universe was effectively restored by Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian series, in which Pedro Pascal also travels with a child. This time, however, adventures are not limited to one star system. The second season ended on a dramatic note and was marked by one very loud cameo. So, the events of the third so far can only be guessed at. But we can safely assume that this time the space western about the silent mercenary is unlikely to disappoint.

True Detective/ Fourth Season

After a controversial third season with Mahershala Ali, HBO didn’t know what to do with one of the most prestigious dramas in its catalog for a long time. In the end, the entertainment company decided to arrange a complete reboot. The producers asked showrunner and screenwriter of the first three seasons, Nick Pizzolatto, to smoke on the sidelines. Issa Lopez, author of the dark Mexican fantasy “Tigers Are Not Afraid”, took his place. The subtitle of the fourth season is no less gloomy – “Land of Darkness”. In the story, two female detectives investigate the disappearance of six people in Alaska during the long polar nights. Starring Jodie Foster, her screen partner will be Kali Reis, an actress without much acting experience, but with the skills of a professional boxer.

Series are entertaining. But gambling is also an entertainment that promises to bring thrill and a pleasant time. Even more when you know that you can trust the online casino platform. PlayAmo is actually the fastest withdrawal online casino canada that you’ll find. So there’s nothing to worry about, just go play!

Succession/ Fourth Season

The critically acclaimed, fan-favorite, and meme-creative, brilliant satire of Jesse Armstrong will return for Season 4. It’s still not clear who will succeed Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and lead his huge corporation, but the political games of thrones are far from the most important thing for which we love The Heirs. The entire juice of the series is in Armstrong’s caustic, terribly sarcastic script and the gallery of truly enchanting characters he invented, played by a scattering of brilliant artists (Nicholas Brown, Kieran Culkin, Matthew McFadyen, Alan Ruck, Sarah Snook and, of course, Jeremy Strong).

Loki/ Second Season

Tom Hiddleston continues to enjoy his hero’s second life on the small screen. The solo series about the Norse god of deceit Loki will delve into the study of the multiverse and will certainly become a prerequisite for a future global event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the good news for season 2 is the return of viewer favorite Agent Mobius, played by Owen Wilson.

Ted Lasso/ Third Season

They say that if a person turns on Ted Lasso, he will become 600 percent happier than he was before. The kindest, brightest and most sincere series ever made about British football promises to end in the third season (because there is never too much good). Perhaps that is why Bill Lawrence and Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso himself) are not particularly in a hurry to shoot the last chapter – after all, you need to say goodbye in a special way.

The Idol

The Weeknd and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson have teamed up to film a 6-episode drama about a cult leader and rising pop star (Lily-Rose Depp). The guru is played by Abel Tesfaye, whose music has already become a cult object in itself. From the insanely cinematic music videos filled with Scorsese and Gilliam references, as well as the Safdie brothers’ role in Diamonds Unlimited, we knew The Weeknd had great taste in movies. Let’s see how it manifests itself in the “Idol”.

Shrinking

A new comedy series from Ted Lasso creators Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldsteen, teaming up this time with another Jason (Siegel). Siegel is not only the producer and screenwriter of Therapy, he also plays the main role – a psychotherapist who decides to tell all his clients whatever comes to his mind. Straight and honest. Surprisingly, this only makes things better for everyone. His colleague is the famous actor Harrison Ford. After the recently released western 1923, this will be the second big role on television in Ford’s career.
