As PM Boris Jhonson backed out of the PM race, Rishi Sunak becomes the favorite to become UK's Prime Minister.

However, Penny Mordaunt is also in a race but only 25 MPs are showing support for her, and 177 Tory MPs have not gone public.

Rishi Sunak has the support of 155 MPs and he is now in a great position to succeed as the United Kingdoms' new PM.

Nominations are to close on Monday at 2 pm local time. After that whoever has the support of more than 100 MPs will become the PM of the UK.

If more than one candidate passes the 100 threshold then there will be a vote among the Tory MPs between 3.30 pm and 5.30 pm on 24th Oct.

If two candidates still remain in the race then the 1922 committee will leave the decision to Conservative Party Members.

Online voting system will help them in choosing their next leader and the voting will close on October 28.

On the same day the result will be announced and the winner of the contest will become the PM of the Country.
